What prompted you to get in to hair?

Since the age of 6 all I would talk about is becoming a hair stylist! I was always very artistic and loved any sort of craft activity. I have always wanted to work in a creative industry and I'm loving it now that I am!

What surprises you most about working as a hair stylist?

Endless possibilities. Hair styling is something that has almost no limits, it surprises me how many options we have to create something new every day.

What tips and advice do you have for aspiring hair stylists just starting out?

Always work hard and put your all into it when you start out because I've found that's when it pays off the most. If you can show your capable and dedicated from an early stage the rewards will come your way later in your career!

Blow dries and hair extensions. I love hair transformations and the confidence it gives a client.

One hair tool you simply can’t live without?

Redken Powder Grip! I use it for extra volume or to give gents hair a matte finish.

Interacting with people from all walks of life, and learning and growing every day - not just professionally but in every aspect of life. I aspire to make each person that sits in my chair happy!

What tips and advice do you have for aspiring hairstylists just starting out?

Don't give up, hairdressing is very difficult field and people don't realise just how much effort and time it involves. You're going to be challenged and face obstacles, but when you know what you truly want to do and you are passionate about it, it’s worth the time and effort.
